Harriet's Grill eventually became Happy Bill's restaurant before it was torn down and became The Avalon restaurant. The Avalon purchased the property that encompassed all the above businesses and additional property in back for parking. The owner was Bill Katris (1931-2003). Valley Liquor Store was owned by Joe Kohler and in the early 1970's moved to the northeast corner of Grand Ave. (Rte. 132) and Riverside Dr. (Rt. 21). Maleck's Certified Foods became Depke's Grocery Store.
