Intersection of Rts 12 and 120. The building behind the Standard station was a hunting and fishing store my dad would go to sometimes.
Intersection is now Rt. 12 and Volo Village Rd.
Standard Gas station owned by the McNallys the building behind the gas station was Crosses Sport and Gun Shop across the street to the North is Carls Thorsell Shell Service Station and next to it was cozy cottage a local bar
Been past here many times in my childhood going up to Wooster Lake!
The Shell Gas Station on the northwest corner of Rt. 12 and Rt. 120 (now Volo Village Rd.) was operated by Carl Thorsell (1909-1972) and his brother, John Thorsell (1914-2000). The corner and additional property was converted to a nursery named Castle Gardens until 2016. The corner now has a Speedway Gas Station. Castle Gardens is west of the Speedway.
