This was the New Dublin school. The last year of operation was the 1949-50 school year. According to the Freeport Journal-Standard (8/22/1949), the State of Illinois announced that schools without at least a 10-student average attendance would be ineligible for state aid. This would have resulted in the loss of $5,000 in funding for New Dublin, so the school board decided to close the school. Students were transported to Pearl City schools the following school year.
