Hibernia School (Gone)
Baird Park Now
This is where I went to gradeschool. I love that little town where I grew up!!! i remember as a child setting out on the front lawn there on a class project drawing the old house and barn that was across the street in the early 60s, wow what a long time ago that was!!
I went to first grade there in 1965-66. Four room school with a teacher teaching two grades in each room.
I started school there in 1955. Went through all 8 grades in the building. Teachers were a part of the community aside from just the school. That was meaningful to me.
By the way, the park is now known as Beard Park, not Baird. Named after long time principal Trev Beard.
Hello James,
Do you know what year the school was demolished?
