During the 50's and 60's when I lived in the area, the Kirklin family lived here. It may have been Austin and Shirley Kirklin. What I remember most about the property is the glass basketball backboard supported by 2 upright posts at the far right end of the driveway. Once you realize you're looking at a side view of it you'll identify it. I shot many baskets through it as a kid but not at this location, as it was salvaged from the gym during the 1967 demolition of Center School about 2 miles away. I don't know what happened to its "mate". The property is located at the southwest corner of the intersection of S Co Rd 700 E and E Co Rd 500 S.
