Mervin and Lavonne Rebhuhn's homestead, we moved in south of them in 1976. My parents, Gary and Mary Reese actually bought their property from the Rebhuhn's. We had the party line for awhile but my dad had a gravel business and he lived on the phone so a separate line was in order very quickly. The Rebhuhn's had a milk cow and they would bring over fresh squeezed milk and the cream, I remember the first time I had sliced peaches in the cream from their cow, OMG is right! Fond memories, great neighbors, miss those days.
