Bridgewater, ME
Paul Youngs barber shop on the right.
Gladys Pryor's house at left, old jail house, and the corner of the Odd Fellows Hall.
Current site of Bradbury barrel company, Bridgewater Maine.
And Bob Grass' car in the yard beside Paul's shop. I think this was around 1968?
Does anyone recall a short-lived effort to turn the old jail into a library in the late 50s??
Set the location.
Where was the blacksmith shop located? The stairs of the Odd Fellows Hall lead to its 2story outhouse. The hall is now the Bridgewater Historical Hall
A. M. Stackpole Hardware in this photo.
Thatβs my great grandfatherβs store. His name was Augustus Monticello Stackpoleβ¦ my grandfather was Donald Stackpole. Everything is gone nowβ¦ oh well
Hi Lorianne, thanks for sharing your family history with us! It's always fascinating to hear stories about the people and places captured in our Vintage Aerial photos. Do you have any particular memories or stories about growing up in Aroostook County around the time this photo was taken?
