This is the Wilfred Marquis homestead on Marquis Rd. Van Buren. I purchased this home in 1990 from his daughter Albina Marquis. This was our first home. We lived here for 10 years. It was sold to Gary Farmer in 2010. The barn destroyed by fire in the late 60's. Only the home exists today.

Our family lived across the street on Marquis Road from the Wlifred Marquis homestead. Used to go in that barn to play with the Marquis kids. I still remember the night the barn burned down. Unfortunately, I believe a horse died in the barn fire as well.
