The (now demolished) Ski-land Woolen Mill in Clinton, ME. I remember the mill workers going into Galusha's store across the street and their clothing would be covered with little tufts of wool.

My dad's diner, the Pine Tree Diner, is directly across the street from the mill. He would get the workers before and after their shifts. Served many, many tourists and traveling salesmen as well going up Rt. 100 before the turnpike went in.

My mother ( Susie Sylvester) Aunt (Marg.Peterson) Godmother (Anna Rock) worked there for years. I also worked there 3-11 shift every afternoon after school my senior year.

i worked every summer in the spinning room from my sophmore year until graduated high school, my mother ( madeline barrett) was office manager for over 50 years

My grandfather Laurence Gerald, owned it for awhile. It was where my mother and father would go when they 1st met.
