St Albans School and Merideth Hildreths house/post office.

Correction: The house and post office were built for Arthur and Hilda "Bishop" Chadbourne. I was the teaching principal
at the school from l959 to l965. I also attended the school from l935 to l945 during at least two stages of construction.

I grew up in St. Albans and went to the St. Albans Elementary School from 1st grade through 5th grade. I remember it well. It has since been torn down. Many memories of my years spent there.

I attended the St. Albans Elementary School from first to eighth grade, 1963. My uncle lived in the apartment building known as the Bee Hive that burned on the site of the Post Office. We had to leave school that day. We left the day President Kennedy got shot, a sad day for all.

Attended school here through 8th grade. Lived across the street next door to Brian H. Those were the days.

I went to Hartland Academy from 1962 to 1966. Our hot lunch program was in this building and we walked down from the Academy to its cafeteria. Later, as a Jr High teacher at the former Academy building from 1979 to 1996, we bussed students down to this building, also, to eat at the cafeteria.

David Denbow you're thinking of Hartland Elementary not St. Albans Consolidated Grammar School.
