Farm site owned by Nat Anderson, then Edna Freed
This is the original homestead of Morten Anderson (father of Nat & Egan Anderson). He homesteaded here in June 1870 and still owned it in the 1910's. After moving to California, his son Nat farmed here in the 30's with his wife Josephine, then moved to California as well. Nat continued to own this farm until he died in 1955, but rented it to Arthur & Anna Nelson. After Nat's death, his daughter Edna Freed owned the farm but continued to rent it to the Nelson's for at least 5 years. The Freed family has owned the farm ever since, but no residence is listed here in the 1966 or 76 directories, so I don't know who, if anyone, lived here after Nelson's. The farm was abandoned but still intact five years ago.
