Hi Tyler, thanks for your comment on our Vintage Aerial photo! Sorry to hear about the fire at the Tuscan Ballroom. Did you ever go dancing at the Ballroom before it was burnt down? Has there been any new construction on the site since 2012?

A fire occurred at the Liberty Hills Country Club, 19808 County Road H in rural Liberty, MO on Jan. 6, 2012 at approximately 5:43 p.m. Investigators determined the fire originated in the basement of the clubhouse in an area south of the Pro Shop. The clubhouse was completely destroyed. Firefighters at the scene say that windy conditions and a lack of water hampered their efforts to fight the blaze. The fire caused $3.5 million dollars worth of damage.
Liberty Hills Country Club, a private 18 hole golf course, was built in 1967. The clubhouse upper level had a bar, dining room, kitchen, banquet room. The pro shop, men's & women's locker rooms and snack bar was on lower level back side. A swimming pool was next to the clubhouse. It once had a membership of over 300 members.
In 2008, during the recession the golf course started losing members to newer golf courses causing it to struggle financially. In 2012 post fire the golf course within 2 weeks was reopened using converted construction trailers as a temporary clubhouse. The ownership later made a last ditch effort to keep it open and sold the golf course to a company that promised to rebuild the clubhouse. Liberty Hills Country Club survived a few more years without the clubhouse being rebuild, but it eventually closed. The golf course was left abandoned to growing weeds and dumped trash. The land is currently being sold off in sections for development of new residential housing being built where the golf course once stood.
