White City diner in the NE corner of Rt 20 and CR 11-2. Still there in 1994 but gone now. It was built by Art Gillespie of Lyons and opened in 1933. It was run from 1948 to 73 by Albert Damman of Wauseon. It was made up of three Interurban cars, two end to end for the diner and one at right angles for the kitchen. The cars had carried passengers between Toledo, Pioneer and Adrian MI. A fourth, wooden car was set up next door as the Wagon Wheel Restaurant. It was converted to a private residence later by Richard Laiman who lived just to the east.
