Hartland Township School #2, Hartland Center Rd and Court Rd, Hartland. Built in 1948 to replace school #1 that was destroyed by a tornado. Demolished in 2003. The buildings in the foreground are the Hartland Township hall.
Looks like a couple of baseball games going on!
The old school grounds are now owned by Hartland Township Board of Trustees. Purchased in 2020, the Township has turned it into a community park, with original shelter house, added playground equipment to existing equipment, and a walking path. The old ball diamond is still in use. And a new basketball court was installed in 2021. Since 2023 the local civic group, the Western Reserve Ruritan Club has held a community festival, the Hartland Harvest Festival, at the park
