The Village Motel and a lot to figure out from postcards and other aerial views. On the south side of Rt 20 at the east end of Bellevue. In the 1950's there was a one-room wing on each end that stuck out towards the street. The raised roof over the center ran the other way and had a wide dormer facing the street. A low brick sign read "Village Motel". There was a children's play area in front, some round gardens, and a lawn jockey!

After that the Kudro's Restaurant was built to the left of where the pool is, and an arrow shaped sign was added to the brick one that read "Dine and Rest".

In this 1964 photo, Kudro's and the two small wings are gone, the brick sign has been replaced, and the raised roof has been redesigned. By 1969, two separate buildings were added, one off each end with a few rooms in each.

Sometime after that, it was renamed the Hunter Motel. Today it is called Bellevue Hotel and Suites. This original portion remains in the middle and the two buildings to each end have been extended. A new sign has been placed in front of the Casa Mexican restaurant in front. This old sign remains, completely faded away.

To the rear is Bellevue Upground Reservoir number 3 (there are 4).

In Jeffersonville, Ohio is a motel identical to the original Village Motel except the two side wings are just open with roofs, no rooms. It was called the Dollar Inn, presumably by the same architect, perhaps even the same company owned both. Today it is an Econo-Inn.
