South side of Rt 113 just west of Rt 58, South Amherst. I've been trying to find out the name of this place for some time, but I'm out of resources. It is not just a house, the flat roof part on the right has a parking lot with marked spaces and there is a sign out front. In 1990 I know someone who rented a room there, Apt 4. It might not have been a motel, just a boarding house. In 1954 it was owned by H. Stump and H.J. Dean lived there also.
Still there, but it looks a lot different today and contains small retail stores. The auditor's website shows an older photo where it just looks like a house.
Notice the custard stand on the left edge of the photo. It was owned by the Millers, possible the ones who own Millers Custard further west on Rt 113 in Birmingham.
Whiskyville , still country bar, Jamie's carpet shop.
