The southeast corner of Rt 83 and Center Ridge Rd, North Ridgeville. In the background is the high school. The gas station angled on the corner is a BP station today. The small building to the right was a Lawson's in 1969. Still there with several shops today. The center building seems to be a car wash. The center building has either been expanded or been replaced.

UPDATE: The high school building is being demolished right now, April 2018.

Lawsons, library, barber shop, Lou Pierce hobbyshop. I can't really remember for sure what was at the north end, the far left but I'm thinking it was a ladies beauty shop.

I grew up just down the street, in the late '70s. Walked up there to Lawson for a snack and bought many model kits at the hobby shop. The car wash was remodeled/replaced with small retail shops. Becker donuts and a t-shirt place, that would do custom iron on designs. The middle school was behind, the front (North) end would have been fairly new in '69. The new high school was built in '67.
