?? - The grain elevator in Troy, Ohio, at the corner of 25-A/Eldean Rd...
When the owner died he told his daughter about money buried under one of the storage towers. Sure enough nearly a million dollar was found. She built a mansion next to the Country Club.
The Detmer Hospital/Upper Valley Medical Center is in the background.
The view looks northwest. Note that the current alignment of four lane County Road 25A (Dixie Highway) had yet to built. At that time, 25A passed through the middle of the elevator complex (at that time the elevator may have been owned by Early and Daniel Co.) It presently would pass through the lower right corner of the photo, roughly even with the edge of the farm field.

Hi Tim! Thank you for sharing your connection to the property in Miami County. We love hearing stories tied to our aerial photos! Do you have any other memories or details from your dad's time there in the 70s? It's fascinating to think about how things might have changed since the photo was taken in 1968. We'd love to hear more about Miami County during that time period.
This newspaper article from 1963 tells the story of Mr Altman's buried cash. They dug up two 5-gallon milk cans with $350,000 and another milk can with an additional $150,000.
