Photo 229-ESH-30

This is Oak Hill Farm. My grandparents owned it from the early 1970s through about 1990. During their ownership (at the time of this photo) it was primarily a "gentleman's farm" with some cattle. Prior to their ownership it was a worm farm. The two story building a the center of the photo was the office and the low covered structures to the right are the worm beds. Family lore has it that the farm house at the far left edge of the photo was used as a field hospital during the Civil War battle of Cedar Creek. This area is now a housing development, though the farm house remains.

I have a physical copy of a photo that looks identical to this. I had always though my dad (a private pilot) was the photographer, though I do not know with certainty.
