I was born at this residence in 1943. The barn is the only original building still there. The 2 story house is gone & most of the trees are gone. A one story brick house was built in the 70's. The corn crib, chicken house, garage, & the 2 seater outhouse is gone! My parents moved in December 1969 to the S Curve Farm on South Elm Tree Rd. We had a lot of good memories of hobo parties & Halloween parties in this barn. Before hay balers, the old hay fork amazed me in that it came down to the lose hay on a wagon, picked it up, & released the hay into the hay stack when the rope was tripped. The ensilage cart run from the silo to the other end of the barn & had a chain hoist that lowered & raised it. That was our 'amusement ride' for us young kids!

Always wanted to visit them when I was younger. Bet it was nice growing up there

This brings back memories .. I rember the ensilage cart well...steve put me in one day... I was in my sunday best...and steve says ya wanna take a ride?..... about half way across he DUMPED ME.. NEEDLESS TO SAY WHAT I LANDED IN....mom had a cow")...awww memories
