Photo 56-OCH-10

During Christiansburg's Bicentennial celebration in 1967, this house, actually just outside the town, was listed as the oldest house standing in Christiansburg. Take note of the dead trees in front of the house at the bottom. In summer fo 1969, they blew down, and the resident of the house hired me to help cut them up and move them. What I didn't pay any attention to at the time was the fact that the trunks were covered with poison ivy vines, as I sat straddling the trunks cutting away the smaller limbs.
